Dear All,  Friends & Valued Customers

It is with mixed emotions that we write to share some important news about our beloved Whipsiderry.

After 52 wonderful years as a cherished family-owned business & home, The Whipsiderry will be closing this Autumn, it is with heavy hearts that we announce we will not be reopening in 2025.

This decision has been incredibly difficult, and it comes with a blend of deep reflection, nostalgia, and heartfelt gratitude.

We regret that we were unable to share the news sooner & we hope you are able to understand this but after much careful thought and for a variety of private & professional reasons, we have come to the very difficult decision to close our business. This was not an easy choice, and we cannot begin to express how hard this is for us.

For over half a century the Whipsiderry has been more than just a place to stay; it has been a sanctuary of memories, joy, and togetherness. Your loyalty, friendship, and countless visits have been the cornerstone of our success and happiness. Many of you have become lifelong friends, and we are immensely thankful for the times we’ve shared with you.

We have had the privilege of witnessing generations of families holiday with us, celebrate milestones and create special memories within our walls. Your presence has been integral to our story & also to Mum & Dads, and for that, we are profoundly grateful.

I would also like to extend a special message from our esteemed chef, Rob.

Rob has been with us for the past 28 years, and he wishes to thank you all.

He has greatly enjoyed the many years and he treasures the many memories made with our wonderful guests. We know his incredible cooking has been a highlight for so many of our guests, year after year & it will truly be missed.

Looking ahead, We are thrilled to share an exciting new business development on the horizon. In the summer of 2027, we will be hoping to launch – Whipsiderry Holiday Lodges, a fresh and innovative venture that marks a new chapter in our journey. This new endeavour reflects the changing face of hospitality, aiming to offer a distinctive and tailored holiday experience that combines the comfort of home with the charm of our beautiful area.

The joint venture for Whipsiderry Holiday Lodges has only recently been finalised, and we wanted to ensure all details were carefully considered before making any announcements. We appreciate your understanding and support as we prepare for this new chapter in our lives and look forward to keeping you updated as our plans take shape.

We want to express our deepest gratitude for the kindness and support you have shown us as a family & as a business over the years. It has truly been an honour & pleasure to have met so many and for so many of you to have been part of our lives.

Thank you once again for being a part of the Whipsiderry.  We will forever treasure the memories we’ve made together and hold them close to our hearts.
